Letter: Johnson has been asleep at the wheel
OMB's Clay Johnson is the only one who oversees IGs, but he has not been doing his job.
Regarding “Procurement chief chides IGs,” it is interesting that the Office of Management and Budget is finally waking up to the fact that inspectors general are causing real problems in procurement policy. OMB’s Clay Johnson, who heads the President’s Council on Integrity and Efficiency, is the only one who provides oversight of IGs. What, if anything, has he been doing? Looks to me like he has been asleep at the wheel and has allowed this problem to compound.
