Letter: Chief management officers won't help

Without any real job qualifications, the position could be filled by unskilled but aggressive White House supporters.

Regarding “Senators support chief management officer positions,” lacking any real job qualifications, the CMO job could be filled by an unskilled, inexperienced, but aggressive supporter of the White House. We’ve seen a lot of those in the past seven years. Another new "chief" position likely will make no positive difference. For example, will Congress allow the CMO to close unneeded military bases, Internal Revenue Service field offices, or duplicate local offices in the Agriculture Department?
