Telecommunications Industry Association adds board members

Graybar's Michael Dumas and Sumitomo Electric Lightwave's Fred McDuffee have joined the board of directors.

The Telecommunications Industry Association announced March 19 the election of new board members: Michael Dumas, vice president of Graybar’s Comm/Data Business, and Fred McDuffee, president and chief operating officer at Sumitomo Electric Lightwave. Charlie Fox, Tyco’s general manager, and Carlos Munoz, chief executive officer of Cam Communications, were confirmed for their second terms as board members.


Dumas has worked at Graybar for 21 years. Before to becoming vice president of the Comm/Data Business in 2005, he had been treasury manager of corporate accounts, vice president of electrical sales for the St. Louis district, and vice president of corporate accounts.


Before becoming President of Sumitomo Electric Lightwave, McDuffee spent six years as senior vice president in charge of manufacturing, product engineering and marketing for the company’s Research Triangle Park and Whiteville, N.C., facilities.
