  • Use plain English on messages, and don’t cut corners by relying too much on acronyms.



  • Be as compelling as possible within the 140-character limit.



  • Don’t overload or spam your Twitter audience.



  • Advertise the fact that you have a Twitter account whenever you get the chance.



  • Check out the third-party tools that let you manage your Twitter activity so it fits in with your work routine and causes minimal disruptions.
