Jeremy Warren, chief technology officer for the Justice Department, is not afraid to pick up a hammer and get to work.

Jeremy Warren is someone who knows how to think in terms of the big picture but who is not afraid to pick up a hammer and get to work.Warren, chief technology officer for the Justice Department, is the architect for the Law Enforcement Information Sharing Program, a multi-pronged effort to improve information sharing with the department and across the nation's law enforcement communities. Components of LEISP include the National Data Exchange system and the National Information Exchange Model. But Warren's work did not end with developing strategic plans, according to his boss, Vance Hitch, DOJ's chief information officer. Warren, being very detail-oriented, is constantly working behind the scenes to make sure the program is "accomplishing what we think it should," Hitch said.Warren "is very bright but very practical," said Hitch. "His head is not in a cloud."
