Federal 100: Martha A. Dorris

Martha A. Dorris
Deputy Assistant Administrator
General Services Administration

The Office of Citizen Services is the front door for citizen engagement. Martha Dorris is one of the people the Obama administration counts on to swing that door open.

The numbers speak volumes: The Office of Citizen Services logged more than 183 million contacts with the public last year. She also has provided strategic leadership, within GSA and across government, on the administration's open government initiative.

Dorris was "the person I depended upon...to think strategically about our next step to provide government information to the public," said David McClure, associate administrator for citizen services and innovative technologies at GSA. "She provides a steady hand, an environment where innovation can blossom and the strategic vision to move citizen services forward."
