Federal 100: Trey Hodgkins

Trey Hodgkins
Senior Vice President of National Security and Procurement Policy
TechAmerica

Trey Hodgkins was assigned a daunting task: Give Office of Management and Budget officials recommendations for improving IT acquisition and program management — and do it in 60 days.

Hodgkins and TechAmerica jumped on the opportunity to participate in OMB's project, despite the tight timeframe. Hodgkins gathered a commission of former government officials and senior industry representatives to develop the recommendations. As the meetings became more frequent and the pressure of completing the work continued to build, Hodgkins recognized the importance of the project and voluntarily postponed a scheduled vacation.

TechAmerica delivered its report to OMB last Oct. 25, and the agency incorporated many of the organization's recommendations into its reform plan.
