Shutdown Watch: OMB addresses shutdown questions; budget talks continue at White House

Funding for the government will expire at midnight tomorrow, April 8.

Agencies must complete their process of communicating to federal employees their status under a shutdown no later than April 8, according to a memo released today by the Office of Management Budget.

President Barack Obama, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) will reconvene for further budget talks at the White House this evening, The Washington Post reports.

The National Treasury Employees Union sent a letter to Congress telling the body to “make its intentions clear” to pay all employees furloughed in the event of a shutdown.

GovLoop, the popular social network for feds, has compiled a host of blogs and forums about the shutdown to keep employees informed and connected.
