Talented disabled workers in Maryland are being lured with telework incentives through a state program.
A growing Maryland state program is soliciting talented disabled workers with telework incentives and is ramping up a state campaign to encourage teleworking in general, reports TheBaynet.com, a community news website that covers Calvert, St. Mary's and Charles Counties.
The WorkABILITY Loan Program helps Maryland residents with disabilities qualify for low-interest loans to buy equipment to support teleworking, according to Maryland's Work Matters portal.
Work Matters is also offering a training series tool kit for employers to help them understand why it makes "business sense to hire and retain" those with disabilities, the article said.
