Federal 100: Terry Watson

Terry Watson
Deputy Program Executive Officer
Enterprise Information Systems
Army Department

The work: Ensuring the success of three massive — and controversial — enterprise resource planning programs.

The impact: Watson’s dedication to rapidly delivering cost-effective, easy-to-use, IT-based capabilities has improved the Army’s access to mission-critical information.

The nuts and bolts: Under intense congressional scrutiny, Watson achieved crucial milestones in the deployment of the Army’s General Fund Enterprise Business System, the Global Combat Support System, and the Integrated Personnel and Pay System. And she did it while overseeing infrastructure overhauls at more than 4,000 Army facilities worldwide and making sure that soldiers in the field had the critical IT resources they needed.
